The Radh Hotel

This hotel is less than 500m from the Temple of the Tooth, so you can walk out of the door and be in the middle of town. The staff were very welcoming, the room was fine. We needed to leave early and they organised a packed breakfast.

We loved the location of the hotel next to Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth) and the museums and temples located inside this same location. We went to a 5:30 AM. puja one morning and it literally took us five minutes to access the gate. The location is also adjacent to the lake, which has a lovely walk around it, and to an indoor mall that has a very good food court. The hotel is comfortable, and the staff are professional, friendly and helpful. It was a very comfortable place for us to spend several nights while we explored the city. The breakfasts are fabulous, so many items to choose from along with freshly cooked to order eggs and hoppers. We would absolutely stay here again when we visit next.

You're just a short walk away from major attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and experiencing the local culture. Whether you're visiting the Temple of the Tooth or strolling around Kandy Lake, everything is easily accessible from this central spot. In addition to its prime location, the hotel offers exceptional service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and provide a relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring. The overall ambience of the hotel is warm and welcoming, creating a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city. With its ideal location, outstanding service, clean rooms, and great ambience, this hotel has become my new favorite place to stay in Kandy. Highly recommended!

This hotel was perfect for our short stay in Kandy. Kandy is hectic but this was a piece of tranquility every time we stepped back inside, which due to how centrally located it is, we could do frequently throughout the day and night. It is right beside the temple of the sacred tooth and surround restaurants and shops. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel, and breakfast before we caught our train to Ella, the most delicious egg hoppers made to order. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend. The bed and pillows were an actual dream to sleep on, I have never fallen asleep so easily.

The RADH provided an excellent personal service during our stay. One of the managers, Dhanush, was a stand out. We needed to find a good location for a fine dining Sri Lankan dinner for some guests we were entertaining. There were few options nearby for this, so Dhanush organised a private dining room at the hotel and suggested a menu of local dishes for the dinner. An attentive dedicated waiter was also provided. The menu and the food were wonderful. The chefs, wait staff and Dhanush did an excellent job that evening; everyone was very impressed.
